About Of Whispers and Dances:

‘Of Whispers and Dances’ was the first recital Jamiia hosted, with the help and guidance of EMU Oboe Professor Kristen Reynolds. This recital was a pivotal part of Jamiia’s musical career, giving her inspiration to connect with music and other musicians. In programming ‘Of Whispers and Dances,’ Jamiia sought to feature a wide range of musical genres, cultures, and instrumentations. The featured works in ‘Of Whispers and Dances’ allowed Jamiia to explore the oboe in a more intimate way than before and re-ignited her passion for performing.
